- – COMT inhibitors (capones): only if on leva/carbidopa, block metabolite of dopamine
- – MAOI also blocks the reuptake of dopamine
- – dopamine agonists (ropinirole/pramipexole) are the best INITIAL treatment
- ONLY MAOI drugs are associated with slowing the progression of the disease (rasagiline)
